Yesterday, I walked with my wife around Hibiya and Ginza, which was strictly guarded because of visiting Japan of The President of the United States.
Because we thought that the color of the ginkgo leaf might be beautiful soon, we went to Hibiya Park first. We bought sandwiches and drinks at the Sukiyabasi and arrived there at around noon. In addition to fine autumn weather, we felt good in the colored trees.
We stood still for the “purple stride 2017” event which was done just in the garden.
I know for the first time that this event started as part of the activity of pancreatic cancer eradication was 7th this year. For the pink color of breast cancer, it might be the purple color of pancreatic cancer.
We were supposed to give them a once-over ,but we were attracted to Awa dances and gospel concerts. After that, we sat down on the bench and ate the sandwiches which we bought admiring the autumn color ,and left the Hibiya Park
We went to the apparel shop along the central street in Ginza where the policemen were standing in the corner of the city. I went out with my wife’s shopping. That shop’s name was ZARA. It was overseas capital to expand a dozen stores in Tokyo. She was said to use often this shop in a lot of goods of a reasonable price range. We stayed at this store for over an hour, crowded to try on.
Early in the evening.
Deciding ‘ only one glass ‘, we drank beer in the neighboring beer hall called `Ginza Lion’. As we looked back on today’s events, we drank a glass of beer with a dish of salmon and left the hall.
Ours Sundays were all the same in the state of being pompous.
Last time I wrote about Nagagutsu.I have been reminded of that.It is the rain boots gotten in the mementos of the late father-in-law.
It is rain boots for business, not Nagagutsu. The boots are made of the shape which is not seen now by the old-fashioned , and the cloth which is not used now. Why did I get this rain boots, I can not find a reason. I might have been attracted, it was too old-fashioned .
It was heavy rainy yesterday too. Why are typhoons coming back-to-back this time? I wanted to stay home for a day like this bad weather, but I couldn’t.
I went to a nearby supermarket with my wife in the evening. The typhoon was approaching from the west and the rain was becoming more heavier. `I’ll get soaked .Which shoes shall I wear? ‘
If I got out wearing sneakers made of cloth, I would get my socks wet in a flash. If I wore my leather shoes (it was comfortable old shoes), I would have to take care of the shoes. `What should I do?’ So, that was the old-fashioned rain boots that occurred to me.
I wore them. The shoes were wet, and the cloth became deeper in color very quickly. My wife said to me. `I knew it would be useless. ‘
I was feeling that it could not work as rain boots earlier than her. I felt my toes were getting cold. When I got home and took off my shoes, my wet socks appeared just as my feeling.
But, I thought well. If I wear sneakers, If I wear leather shoes・・・. I knew ! This rain boots were kind enough to be wet instead of other shoes.
The shoes being kind enough to be wet instead of the shoes. I don’t know how long it will be served. The old-fashioned will finish their role once I buy rubber rain boots.
But, that rain boots were back. As shoes being kind enough to be wet .
The national election was held yesterday. The right of the election is the people’s rights.I have no choice but to go to vote.
I went to the polls with my wife yesterday too.The weather was terrible because the typhoon was approaching.Once I got out, I hesitated to go out because the very strong wind and rain made it hard
I happened to see my wife’s shoes, she wore nagagutsu boots well.(In Japan, rain boots have been called `naga=long, gutsu=shoes’.)No, it was not long, so it would be better to call it rain shoes. As far as I could remember, she had a long one, so she had two types of rain boots.
I said to my wife.`you are all set’.She said to me.` A lot of women are wearing them.’
I wondered if it was true.
When I was a kid,I also wore rain boots on the way to and from school in the rain. But,I do not remember wearing rain boots this 40 years.I forgot even that existence.
On the way to the polls, I watched the people’s shoes.Certainly many women wore rain boots. At the same time, many men do not wear rain boots.I saw only one man wearing traditional rain boots`nagagutsu’.
If it rains, the shoes get wet.So people wear rain boots. It’s natural that many women wear rain boots. So, isn’t it natural that many men wear rain boots in Japan.Because they doesn’t fit the suit?
It was election Sunday I went home thinking about that.
Crowdfunding is a coined combination of a crowd (crowd) and a fund-raiser (funding), an unspecified number of people usually provide financial resources or cooperate with other people or organizations via the Internet.Socialfunding also called. (from Wikipedia)
I have been to `the crowd’ twice. The first time I invested a little over $200 in a foreign company. The second investment was a little over 7,000 yen for a domestic company.
What happened to the investment results?
The first one has passed two years after the investment, but the product is still not received.I have already received the product as promised the second investment.
The rate of accomplishment for investment at this time is 50%. If it is an investment in a company that is unknown and is in the process of growth,I think It can’t be helped.Anyway, I decide I don’t use a big amount of money.
Well, from these things I felt. Having a different viewpoint.’ Investing in foreign ventures is easier for me mentally. ‘
If an investment that doesn’t go well is for a domestic company,Perhaps, I must keep complaining to the one.
In fact, I only asked questions about the specifications gently.Because… It’s too much hassle to for me to question in English.
Not yet received products. If I could receive the product, I will report it here first.I can’t wait .
¥ 3990 Tax incl.¥325 per month. It is the yearly membership fee of Amazon Prime.
There are a number of services that users pay their dues to.I and my family use some of them.`Amazon Prime’, there is one thing that I think that’s a good deal among them. It’s just a personal impression.
There is a service that normal shipping is free.We don’t have to pay for the goods shipped from the Amazon Distribution center.
Though the applicable products have decreased (but is it gone?), there is a delivery service on the day.I was really surprised by the service that I purchased on the Internet and received the goods on that day.
Service called Amazon Prime Video. The latest works is not included, but we can watch other selected movies and dramas
freely.Plus there’s a super cool service. If we download, we can watch the video even in a place that is not in the Internet environment.
Service called all you can read.We can watch other selected books freely.
Others, I do not know, some services that are not used.We can receive these services at 3,900 yen per year.
Yesterday was a national holiday.I watched a downloaded movie slowly at the Doutor coffee shop and went home.
Amazon Prime ,I think I have no choice but to use this service.
Lately this blog is filled with stories on how to spend my weekend
Yesterday, as the weather forecast , it was fine and sunny Sunday.A few days ago I was making a reservation for a boat ride. It’s called Kandagawa Cruise. The pier in Nihonbashi River is a starting point, and it is a short 90-minute river tour that it ships around Nihonbashi River → Kanda River→ Sumida River →Nihonbashi River, and returns to the first place.
I’ve always wanted to boat down Kanda River.I had two reasons.
The first reason.Time goes back to elementary school.Once a week, I went to the center of Tokyo using the Chuou line alone. To get on the Chuou line from home, I had to transfer once with Ochanomizu of the Sobu line. However, the form does not change.
From the form of the Ochanomizu, I was able to see Kanda River and the Marunouchi line above it.The subway Marunouchi line is once on the ground across the Kanda River.I could see a red vehicle coming from the tunnel, and crossing the Kanda River bellow.Oh, For once in my life I would like to look up at this fine sight from the surface of the water.
The second reason.Time goes back to newlyweds.I heard such a story from father-in-law born in the Taisho period.(Taisho period was 1912-1926.)He said to me.when he was a child, He went to gather clams .His family took the boat from the wharf floating on the Kanda River at Ochanomizu.,and shipped to Chiba area through the Sumida River.
I would like to look up at a fine sight from the surface of Kanda River.I would like to see a fine sight on the surface of Sumida Rive. However, I had forgotten such thoughts for a long time.
It was the guided tour being into recently that reminded me of them
I really had a good time.I can’t write that emotion in brief..So instead,I show you a picture.I posted the rest of the photos on Instagram. If you are interested, please contact them.
After a few years, after the disappearing Metropolitan Hightway over Nihonbashi ,after the renovation of Hijiri Bridge connecting Surugadai and Yushima, I want to look up again from the surface of the water.
(Nihonbasi is the bridge over Nihonbashi River in Chuo-ku, Tokyo. It is A road-origin marker of Japan and the starting point of road network in Japan.Built in 1911, the current Nihonbashi is a national important cultural property.Nevertheless,The Government of Japan made highways over such a historic bridge.)
Yesterday I went to Yokosuka with my wife because We had a relatives funeral.Last week I had just been to Yokosuka for the first time, so I did not even dream that I would come there for two weeks straight.
We left the hall about 19:30.We were resigned to holiday traffic jams with the cars returning to Tokyo. But…
Smoothly We went back home in the east of Tokyo after 20:30.We never thought that We could go home so early. If We could always pass smoothly like yesterday, people would be able to feel the value of the toll road.
Why do traffic jams occur, except for construction and accidents? It was early evening that I thought so driving on the highway.
All the advertisements on the wall in the train were in the video.People have seen them over the door in the video from a long time ago.But It was my first experience to ride a vehicle that even all of them over the window were in the video.
Could I see the same sight in other vehicles? I looked into the vehicle that came and went, but I couldn’t see it.There were still a lot of vehicles that printed media were published over the window .
I guess I happened to meet a new kind of vehicle. However, if I saw once, all of them I would see will be new type like this.
I guess the print media is going to be decreasing more and more.
My wife and I went out to stay there with my son and his friend. We decided to eat dinner together, and other than that, we and they acted separately.
The grave of my family home is in Kamakura, and we often visit. After thinking about where to go sightseeing, We decided to leave Kamakura on the first day.
We thought that we would go a little way further to MIsaki ,and eat a delicious fish. But under the influence of the bus tour ‘HATO BUS’ we took part in the other day, we checked to see if I could do some experiential sightseeing.
And, having hit is “Gunkou Meguri“.It is Naval round. It is an hour-long tour of Yokosuka port on the sightseeing ship.
Typhoon 18 was predicted to pass through Honshu this weekend. After careful consideration, I made a reservation on Friday.Because I thought that we would be able to get on the ship on Saturday ,if it was in the morning. It was hard to get a seat on Saturdays and Sundays on this tour, a popular tour.I was nervous to be able to ride the reservation the day before.
On the day, I headed to Yokosuka from Kamakura by JR (JapaneseRailway). It was the first time to go by train far from Kamakura using the Yokosuka Line.At this point my mind was already in a field excursion state.
I arrived at Yokosuka station in about 20 minutes including the separation time of the train. The form of the station and the warship anchored entered my eyes at the same time.Even I was not a military geek, but the first time I saw , it was too excited to see the warship very close.I was going to stand in the seat and ‘ sit down ‘ from my wife.
It was a 10-minute walk from the ticket gate of the station to the entrance to the pier. Many warships anchored in the harbor came into my sight. The rain was falling, but the waves were quiet because of inside the harbor.
A large ship , a quiet sea. This comparison took my breath away.
10 o’clock on time.The sightseeing ship sailed.
The male flight attendant guide is fun and study. He taught us the role of each warships and how to identify the types of them.Destroyer, transport ship, minesweeper, observation ship of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force , and submarine , aegis ship of the U.S. Navy.
Aegis ship to hear well recently. It is a ship equipped with an advanced air defense system.
Of the 100 ships sailing around the world, it was said that a few ships were anchored in the port of Yokosuka.I listened to the explanation, especially reflecting the international situation(North Korea matter).
If you read to this point, you will think that this tour is a strong military color. In fact, I think that you can enjoy this tour, just like any other sightseeing tour.
It was a fun tour to guide us the visible reality with knowledge and laughter My wife who had a unwillig face before she boarded also said a word ‘ it was fun than I thought’
But I thought It was a shame that the passenger’s age group is high. I wondered how this tour would meet the eyes of young people. If my son and his friend had taken part in this tour, how would they have seen this spectacle in their eyes honestly?
After we got off the harbor, we took a breather at Starbucks Coffee.(By the way, the ship seen from the window of Starbucks is a warship)
I found out this ‘HATO BUS tour’ and had kinds of course only for short time Tokyo-sightseeing. At first I thought of a thing with the added value, such as with a lunch ,with dinner, with a show. But I chose this course, which is the simplest and the most interested straight .
Hibiyakouen (Park) → Kasumigaseki (Government District) → Kokkaigijidou (National Diet Building) → Toranomon Hills →Tokyo Tower → Rainbow Bridge→ Odaiba→ Tsukiji →Kabukiza →Ginza
It was almost an hour. Though it was a familiar town for us, we could not usually see these view without the height of that viewpoint and a feeling of release. In addition, the guidance was very fun and study for us.
We were satisfied. After getting off, we took lunch in the basement of Tokyo Station and headed back to Tsukiji outside market. Because we were interested in the guide’s explanation.
Is it past 15 O’Clock when we came home? We were a little tired and took a nap. It might be that such a short sightseeing was suitable for a couple of over 50.
